A new team has been formed to bring the co-ordination of Permablitz events for us based in Sydney. See how it works in Melbourne at http://www.permablitz.net/

In short it provides people and groups operating a Permablitz to promote it beyond there own networks.

The first Sydney Permablitz Collective meeting was attended by seven very enthusiastic people with three apologies in March and a followup meeting has already occurred.

Some nice food was shared then we followed a prepared agenda with additional items added as needed. The meeting was short and to the point with us all leaving with specific tasks to undertake, most of which were completed three days later, and our next agenda is all but written.

It is clear we have a capable and diverse set of people determined to get the network humming. There was general agreement that the meeting proceeded better than most do, we are all committed to the consensus model for proceedings.

A very clear outcome is we value the materials and structure provided by the Melbourne Crew and we have decided to adopt their practices, standards and documentation as a whole. there will be room to modify this as Sydney’s team develops but we see that value in accepting Melbourne’s learning.

After the meeting one member said “Must admit that I’m totally enthused after tonights meeting” and another “Was a bit of a shot in the arm to be in the same room with a bunch of like minded, switched on individuals who are keen to make this happen.”

Everyone left with a smile on their face and an eagerness to return – so meetings will be fortnightly initially to get us on a role.
