Promoting “sustainable practices”

A “sustainable practice” is  any action, design, build or operating mode that is done with an underlying objective to be more sustainable. In the Habitat build process we have a range of “sustainable features” that use and demonstrate different sustainability technology and methods to improve the habitats sustainability, Once implemented additional operational sustainable practices will be documented to get the most from the venue and support those who want to understand how to live more sustainably.

The Habitat features are a work in progress and will be dependent on the result of the initial research and design effort and the evolutionary design phase. The Habitat Wiki has a list of sustainable features we hope to include.  Ideas and contributions are invited,
