RALLY Thursday March 15th, from 4pm

Outside NSW State Parliament, Macquarie St, Sydney

Rally when the NSW Parliament debates our 20,000-strong Coal Seam Gas petition demanding:

  • A moratorium on all CSG activity
  • A royal commission into all aspects of CSG
  • A ban on fracking

In recent days CSG company Santos admitted to at least 20 toxic leaks from its wells in the Pilliga (north-west NSW), leaving a “kill zone” of vegetation. Yet the NSW Government has not stopped drilling of a new CSG well 60km southwest of Sydney – in the Warragamba
catchment!

There is now more than enough evidence that CSG mining brings risks.

Yet 5,000 wells are being planned for the state. Areas where 90% of the NSW population live are covered by CSG licenses.

It’s time to stop this dangerous industry before more harm is done.

Our CSG petition is due to be debated at 4:30pm, and CSG campaigners will also pack the gallery inside.

Speakers, banners, placards, “CSG contaminated water”, and much more. Bring your sign,
your shirt, and your voice!

Organised by Stop CSG Sydney, Stop CSG Illawarra, and supported by Lock The Gate Alliance.
